Bible Quizzing Team

Jeremy joined the UPCI Youth Ministries in January 2021. Before coming to St. Louis, Jeremy graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and from Belhaven University where he obtained a Master of Science in Leadership. He served as the Youth Pastor at First Pentecostal Church in Pensacola, Florida from 2013-2020 and also on the Florida Youth Ministries team as the Florida Youth President from 2018-2020. He has been involved in youth ministry for over 14 years and was privileged to receive his ministerial ordination in 2017. It is Jeremy’s goal to see young people fulfill their God-given purpose as they further the Kingdom of God!

Jeremy met his lovely wife Kristin in 2005 and married her in 2006. They have two amazing children, Caden and Claire. He loves spending time with his family, enjoying great barbeque, and talking about sports.

Russ Faubert has been involved in Bible Quizzing in many roles, beginning in 1984 as a junior quizzer. He has served as the Experienced Division Quizmaster since 2005 and as the Bible Quizzing Director since Fall of 2017. He oversees the policies and promotion of Bible Quizzing, as well as writing the district and national quiz questions and conducting the annual Bible Quiz Extravaganzas and the North American Bible Quiz Tournament.

Russ met his beautiful wife, Kimberley, when they were Bible Quizzers in Stittsville, Ontario. After several years of quizzing together, the lovebug bit and they married in 1997. They are parents to four wonderful children: Taylor, Ryland, Zach, and Asher.

Clay Strawn has been involved in Bible Quizzing for more than four decades. He quizzed from 1978 to 1983, later coaching Junior and Youth Bible Quizzing teams and teaching Bible Quizzing seminars across many districts, as well as in Mexico and Cameroon. He has been a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church for 39 years, served on the Texas District Board for 16 years, and has been the Texas District Bible Quiz Coordinator for 34 years. He has served as the National Intermediate Division Quizmaster since 2001.

Clay pastored Hillsboro United Pentecostal Church for 33 years and has pastored Waco Life United Pentecostal Church for 13 years.

He has been married to his wife, Kaylynn, for 38 years. They have two children: Noah Strawn and his wife, Lindsey, and Faith Strawn Chambers and her husband, Brian. Both families are highly involved in ministry within the United Pentecostal Church International. Clay and Kaylynn enjoy five grandchildren: Atticus, Addyson, Annelyse, Anson, and Scout.

Clay graduated from Jackson College of Ministries with a Bachelor of Theology. He also holds a Bachelor of English from the University of Texas at Arlington, along with a dual Master of English and Education from Texas A and M Commerce. He taught in public schools for 32 years and has also taught at several universities and junior colleges. He currently teaches for Hill College and Texas Bible College.

He enjoys traveling, literature, and spending time with his family.

Tamra serves as the Bible Quizzing Secretary. She joined UPCI Youth Ministries in 2005. She enjoys working with Bible Quizzing teams and officials. Tamra is a member of New Life St. Louis, Bridgeton, MO, and serves on the youth team. She enjoys traveling, photography, reading, and loves being a part of student ministry on the local and national levels.

Taylor has been involved in Bible Quizzing since 2008, beginning as a junior quizzer and continuing through her final year in 2018. She served as the Bible Quizzing Social Media Coordinator from 2020 until stepping into her current role as Promotions Coordinator in 2025, helping to share the mission of Bible Quizzing with others.

Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Urshan University and works in the Office of Communications at UPCI World Headquarters in Weldon Spring, Missouri. Passionate about giving back to the ministry that shaped her, she loves preserving unforgettable moments for the Bible Quizzing family. You can usually find her with a brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso in hand while encouraging everyone to follow @biblequizzing on Instagram.

Marcus has been involved in Bible Quizzing as part of the creative team, using his eye for photography to help tell the story of the ministry. His love for capturing moments began at the South Eastern Bible Quiz Extravaganza in 2023.

Marcus currently attends and serves on the creative team at the Pentecostals of Gainesville in Florida under Pastor Jimmy Toney, where he also quizzed for two years. He works full time as an electrician while taking night classes at Santa Fe College.

When he’s not behind the camera, Marcus enjoys exploring the outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking, and has a passion for traveling and discovering new places. Fun fact about Marcus: the first time he ever hiked was a 32-mile trek to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.

Eric Forbes has been involved in Bible Quizzing for over a decade. First as a Bible Quizzer for six years before serving as a quiz coach for four years. He now serves as the District Coordinator for Bible Quizzing in the Rocky Mountain District, passionately supporting the next generation of quizzers.

Eric has been married to Elizabeth since November 2023, and they enjoy serving together at Casper Pentecostal Church in Casper, WY, where Eric is the Youth Pastor. In addition to his ministry, Eric works remotely for a regional CPA firm based out of Baton Rouge, LA, balancing his career with his dedication to both his church and district.

In their free time, Eric and Elizabeth love exploring new coffee shops around Casper. Traveling and making memories in new places is one of their favorite ways to spend time together.

Kellen Constant has been dedicated to Bible Quizzing for many years, starting as a quizzer for 11 years before transitioning into coaching. Known for her enthusiasm, she still finds time to encourage quizzers and crash quiz practices when she can! Now serving as the Editorial Coordinator for Bible Quizzing, Kellen continues to pour her passion into the ministry.

As a teacher at the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center in Arkansas, Kellen can’t engage with students physically, so she partnered with Canine Companions for her facility dog, Halpert. This “adorable co-worker” brings comfort to the classroom. In her free time, Kellen enjoys board games, reading, teaching Halpert new tricks, and being outdoors—hiking, biking, or playing pickleball. She’s also a fan of Daylight Saving Time and the Oxford comma.

Tim and Jennifer Matthews began their Bible Quizzing journey in 1991, initially coaching because they believed it would be a meaningful ministry to support. As they witnessed the positive impact of the Word of God on the lives of quizzers, they soon felt a calling for their own family. Their daughter, Lauren, quizzed for 12 years, and their son, Nate, participated for 11 years. Both are now in full time ministry, and Tim and Jennifer give God the glory for the transformative work of His Word in their lives.

They have previously served as Bible Quizzing coordinators for First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs and Woodlawn Pentecostal Church in Columbia, Mississippi. For the past 11 years, Tim and Jennifer have faithfully served as Mississippi District Youth Bible Quizzing Coordinators, nurturing a love for Scripture in the next generation.

Jennifer also serves on a national level as an Intermediate Division split session quizmaster, helping create a positive and encouraging environment at tournaments across the country.

Jared Wilkerson was born and raised in Humboldt, Tennessee, and has served as the Senior Pastor of Life Christian Church in Lansing, Michigan since March 2021. He married the love of his life, Erica, in 2010, and they are blessed with four children, Eden, Canaan, Judah, and Selah, all of whom are active Bible Quizzers.

Jared quizzed for his home church in Humboldt from 1994 to 2004. He has served in many roles since then, including question writer beginning in 2005, multiple coaching assignments, and two different terms as the Tennessee District Youth Bible Quizzing Coordinator. He currently serves as the Michigan District Youth Bible Quizzing Coordinator, a position he has held since December 2021. Jared also serves as a National Quizmaster for the Experienced Division.

Jared enjoys listening to Audible books, especially on history, business, and leadership, and he is an avid fan of roller coasters, a passion he has happily passed on to his children.

Tim Jacobs is from Euless, Texas, and attends Calvary Pentecostal Church. His involvement in Bible Quizzing spans more than two decades, including nine years as a quizzer, five years as a coach, and twelve years as a quizmaster, with five of those years as district coordinator.

Tim currently serves as the North Texas District Coordinator and as a National Quizmaster for the Experienced Division. He is known for helping create an encouraging atmosphere, even in the most competitive rounds. Tim is famous for breaking the silence with a perfectly timed dad joke. It is a strategic skill he has refined over many seasons, and one that quizzers have come to appreciate, whether they admit it or not.

Tim and his wife, Marla, have three children: Marissa, Micah, and Taryn. He loves staying active through exercise and spending quality time with his family, which often includes testing new puns before they make their tournament debut.

Amber Willeford is from St Louis, Missouri, and attends Apostolic Pentecostal Church. She quizzed for 14 years, proudly finishing her last season during the first year of handheld buzzers.

Amber has been assisting Missouri Bible Quizzing since 2012 and has participated in roughly 170 tournaments as a quizzer, coach, or official. She serves nationally as an Intermediate Division split session quizmaster and loves helping create a positive experience for quizzers and coaches. Bible Quizzing has been a significant part of her life, and she is passionate about passing that joy on to the next generation.

Outside of quizzing, Amber enjoys bird watching and is always delighted when a rare visitor appears at the feeder.
